Chief Revenue Officer

Dave Przesiek

Dave Przesiek is the Chief Revenue Officer for Ryan Specialty Benefits.

Dave has 30 years of industry experience working in all aspects of the self-insurance market. In the beginning of his career, Dave gained experience working for North American Health Plans, Benesight, Medical Claims Service and HealthSmart Re.

In 2010, Dave started his 10-year tenure with Fallon Health on their executive team as a Senior Vice President. In this role, he gained experience in product line performance and product development. He took his knowledge and skills to AccuRisk Solutions in 2020 to lead the launch of their captive program.

Dave has also served on One Sky Community Services’ board of directors and acted as a business advisor for decision support tool, HYKE.

Dave joined the team when Ryan Specialty and AccuRisk Solutions joined forces in 2023.

Chief Actuary

Tom Leonard

Tom Leonard is the Chief Actuary for Ryan Specialty Benefits.

Tom has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Due to his extensive resume, Tom has been able to view the healthcare market through different lenses from carrier, consulting, brokerage, and employer perspectives. Through his experience, he has become skilled at innovative problem solving to help bridge the gap between detailed financial projections and high-level strategy.

Over the course of his career, Tom has held senior actuarial positions with CIGNA, Milliman, Aon and Benefits Science Technologies.

Tom joined Ryan Specialty in 2022.
Chief Underwriting Officer

Kevin Hokanson

Kevin Hokanson is the Chief Underwriting Officer for Ryan Specialty Benefits.

Kevin has spent 30 years in the insurance market with a focus on the medical stop loss business. Kevin has gained experience in managing carrier and reinsurance relationships along with creating underwriting profitability guidelines. Over the years, he has held senior positions for multiple Third-Party Administrators, a retail Employee Brokerage firm, and Managing General Underwriters.

In 2017, Kevin joined AccuRisk Solutions as Chief Underwriting Officer and Executive Vice President.

Kevin joined the team when Ryan Specialty and AccuRisk Solutions joined forces in 2023.

Chief Operating Officer

Blake Allen

Blake Allen is the Chief Operating Officer for Ryan Specialty Benefits.

Blake brings 20 years’ experience in business transformations and global operations.

Prior to his time as Chief Operating Officer for Point6 Healthcare, Blake worked for Sutherland, PwC, and Hewitt Associates. Blake has spent his career designing and implementing business models for startups and improving current business functions.

Blake has experience in numerous industries ranging from aerospace, retail, consumer products to health insurance, pharmaceuticals, professional and managed services.

Blake brought his operational talent to the team when Point6 and Ryan Specialty joined forces in 2023.

Office President

Jeff Miller

Jeff Miller is an Office President of Ryan Specialty Benefits and former President of Point6 Healthcare, LLC.

Jeff has over 30 years of industry experience working in all aspects of the employee benefits market. Prior to Point6, Jeff was an Executive Vice President and Practice Leader for the health and welfare consulting practice at Lockton Dunning in Dallas. In this role, he directed the senior leadership team responsible for the consulting teams and subject matter experts including actuarial, pharmacy, wellbeing, compliance, integrated absence, and voluntary benefits. Prior to joining Lockton Dunning, Jeff served as Regional Head of Sales for Aetna’s Mid-America region, responsible for small group and middle-market clients. At the start of his career, Jeff gained experience in different positions with PacifiCare, Prudential, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Angela Maggi

Angela Maggi is an Office President of Ryan Specialty Benefits and former Managing Partner of ACE Benefit Partners.

Angela spent the first part of her career working as a Sales Executive for MetLife in various regions. After her time at MetLife, she spent the next 10 years as an Employee Benefits Sales Representative for Sun Life Financial. During her Sun Life tenor, she continued to break barriers by winning multiple awards and becoming the first Sales Representative to sell over $50 million in Group Life & Disability Premium in Sun Life history.

Angela brought her industry knowledge and skills to the team when Ryan Specialty and ACE Benefit Partners joined forces in 2023.

Office President

Terry Madge

Terry Madge is an Office President of Ryan Specialty Benefits and former Managing Partner of ACE Benefit Partners.

Terry has 30 years of experience in the employee benefits space. Before founding ACE Benefit Partners, Terry served as a Senior Regional Group Manager for Sun Life Financial from 1996-2014. During his tenure at Sun Life, he was responsible for new business, retention, and field customer service. He was one of four senior leaders to serve on Sun Life’s Senior Business Panel, executing initiatives to improve the Sun Life employee benefits business.

Jason Lankford

Jason Lankford is an Office President of Ryan Specialty Benefits and former Managing Partner of ACE Benefit Partners.

Jason has spent his career learning the employee benefits landscape and building relationships with brokers, consultants, and Third-Party Administrators. Prior to ACE, Jason spent 10 years working for Sun Life Financial. In those 10 years, Jason held multiple positions within the company, gaining experience in almost every aspect of the business.

Jason is a certified Self-Funding Specialist (CSFS®).

Jason joined the team when Ryan Specialty and ACE Benefit Partners joined forces in 2023.
Office President

Dan Boisvert

Dan Boisvert is an Office President of Ryan Specialty Benefits and former President & Chief Executive Officer of AccuRisk Solutions.

Dan has been active in the reinsurance market for over 30 years. He began his career as a medical stop loss and personal accident underwriter at International Accident Facilities (IAF), a subsidiary of Crawley Warren Group. He quickly climbed the ranks to Executive Vice President. After his time at IAF, Dan set out on an entrepreneurial path and created two successful MGUs, Greenwood International Services in 2000 and AccuRisk Solutions in 2017.

Over the span of his career, Dan has served on multiple boards of directors and been a respected speaker on relevant industry topics.

Dan joined the team when Ryan Specialty and AccuRisk Solutions joined forces in 2023.

President and CEO

John Zern

John Zern is President and CEO of Ryan Specialty Benefits. He joined Ryan Specialty in 2021 to launch the benefits division.

Prior to joining Ryan Specialty, John served as CEO, Global Health Solutions & CEO, North America: Commercial Risk and Health Solutions for Aon from 2014 to 2020. Previously, he acted as Aon’s Executive Vice President and Global Health Leader. Before his time with Aon, John was Senior Vice President of Marsh & McLennan Companies Health business, and he began his career as a Group Representative and Senior Sales Executive for Aetna.

For over 30 years, John has worked with clients on health and risk strategies spanning healthcare reform, intellectual property, wellness, cyber, pharmacy, data analytics, claim and employee advocacy, clinical capabilities, and private health exchanges. He has worked closely with insurance company leaders to build innovative solutions addressing some of the biggest challenges facing employers.
